Meet The Founder/Owner
Welcome to Blossom!
I'm Mandy Gaskill, and I live in beautiful Shoshone, ID, with my husband, Chad. While my five adult children and three grandkids live in Washington, my journey in special education began right at home. As a mother of four children with special needs, I’ve navigated the complex system of special education firsthand. I’ve experienced the highs, the lows, the frustrations, and yes, the tears that often come with IEP meetings. My kids have shaped me into a fighter, and for that, I am truly grateful.
Today, I am a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, Holistic Health Coach, and Special Education/IEP Consultant. My career has taken me through various settings, including rehabilitation centers, clinics, schools, and children's home health. I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside teachers, administrators, and participate in IEP/504 meetings. These experiences have underscored the importance of collaboration, clear communication, data, and thorough research in advocating for our children.
Blossom Special Education Essentials was created to empower families and educators through knowledge. Whether it's through workshops, classes, blogs, events, or sharing legal resources, my goal is to help you understand how to advocate for your student effectively.
